Meeting wonderful, faithful members from all over the world is one of the joys of missionary work. Dennyse-Anne Pentecost is from Caledonia a French Island located in Melanesia in the southwest Pacific.
*****************Michael taking digital image of an old Minute book or register of an English, Irish, or Scottish Constitution Masonic Lodge that later joined the Grand Lodge of New South Wales. Often times these old books dating back as early as 1821 are filled with mold, mouse droppings, and dust amidst the valuable family history data of names, ages, addresses, occupations, and birth and death dates.
*************Missionary work in all of its variety usually includes a P-day - preparation day to catch up with laundry, shopping, and exploring. The last couple of Saturdays have been delightful weather wise and so we have ventured out to see the world in and around Sydney.
********************************** We walked along Bondi Beach where the sky was clear, the aqua blue water with white capped waves splashing, and the brisk fall breeze refreshing. We also caught spectacular views as we walked along the South Head cliffs, entrance to Sydney Harbor. In Darling Harbor we visited the Maritime Museum and checked out Captain Cook's Ship (replica) that sailed around the world. Captain Cook claimed the Eastern shores of Australia for Great Britain.
******* We traveled west from Sydney to visit St. John's Cathedral in Parramatta where Michael's 4th great parents, who immigrated to Australia, John Masterson born in 1764 in Longford County, Ireland and Mary Considine, born 1787 in Clare County, Ireland were married on 6 April 1804.
St. John's was situated right in the center of town. The city, though modern in many ways, retained the quaintness of provincial Australia. We took advantage of the location and ended the day at a fine Sicilian Restaurant over looking the main city fare.

Glad to hear that you are getting a chance to see more sights. Thanks for posting the pics of the flowers- it is nice to see what they looked like. I hope the sun shining through gave you a happy Mothers Day!
