This weekend we had the wonderful opportunity to meet with Michael’s cousins, Lou Smith, Lesley Holland and her daughter Linda. Lesley and Linda flew in from Perth, Australia to visit and share family history information. Lesley and Michael share the same Great Grandparents, Lee Rowan, Jr. and Margaret Jane Davies. Michael’s grandmother – Ella Phoebe May Rowan was Lesley’s grandmother, Mary Elizabeth Rowan’s, older sister. Lesley has been communicating with Michael’s brothers – Richard and David for years and more recently with Michael. It was so nice to finally meet her. It was a full day of food, stories, laughter and family togetherness. .
Lesley said that she was able to tour the Perth Temple during its open house and felt the beauty of it. It is in the Temple that the Lord seals families together forever. Families are the only thing that we can carry forward to the next life after we are dead. But all things must be done in order and it is through faith in Jesus Christ, Repentance, Baptism by Immersion by someone holding the Priesthood authority, receiving the Gift of the Holy Ghost, sealing as a family in the Temple – The House of the Lord, and then enduring to the end by continuing in faith, repentance, obedience to God’s commandments, service, and charity – the love of Christ. Then through the mercy, grace, and love of our Savior, Jesus Christ, we may return to live with our Heavenly Family and our earthly family. God’s plan is a plan of happiness, a plan of joy, a plan of salvation. We as children of our Heavenly Father have a divine inheritance if we will but accept it. We are blessed. We are loved
