Farewell to President & Sister McMasters

Missionaries come and go and so do Mission Presidents. We have enjoyed serving under the direction of Pres. & Sister McMaster for the past 7 months. They are genteel leaders with class and humility. They have raised the bar with loving persuasion Their love of music has spread throughout the mission and many young missionaries have discovered their musical talents. We will miss them and look forward to seeing them when we return as they live in Salt Lake City, Utah. Change is constant, especially in Missions. Elder Zang is the first and only missionary from Burma and left just a week ago to return to Burma after fulfilling an excellent mission here in the Australia Sydney South Mission. Elder Dallin's parents came to pick him up and to see a little of their son's mission and the eastern coast of Australia. Our Branch President (wearing the white baseball cap) held a barbecue in his backyard in honor of the McMasters. They cooked the lamb, beef, and pumpin in a large pit in their backyard. Missionaries and branch members and investigators came out for the feast and farewell party. Joining Pres. Tumata (Branch Pres.) in a round of singing was Sister & Pres. McMaster and Stake Pres. & Sister Jones. ********************************One of the joys of being a Senior Missionary Couple is to serve with other Senior Missionaries. Right now we are enjoying serving with Elder & Sister Skeehan from California. They work in the Office in Mortdale, about 3/4 of an hour south west of where we are working in Sydney at the Teaching Center.

Interesting post on your blog. It is such fun and also exciting to be able to serve with so many wonderful people from all over the world. It reminds us that this is Christ's Church and is for every one of His children -- wherever they live and in all circumstances and languages! What a JOY it is to serve!!! You two are certainly representative of some of those wonderful missionaries and true friends. We Love You.
