It was great to share with Jen and Michael a little bit of Sydney, Australia.
From Sydney tower you could see our flat and the Marriott Hotel where they stayed, right next to Hyde Park.

It rained on Friday so we kept dry by visiting the Sydney Aquarium and walking through tunnels under the sea with sharks, sting rays, and giant turtles swimming above our heads. And there was shopping at Paddy's indoor market. That evening instead of singing in the rain we sang and danced in the Sydney Harbor Opera house with the “Human Nature” group and Sydney Symphony.

On sunnier days we shopped our hearts away in Paddy’s Market and walked along Sydney’s Circular Quay (pronounced “key”), the Rocks, and Botanical Gardens. We took the ferry to Manly Island and to Taronga Zoo to see Koalas and Kangaroos.

We even saw white Kangaroos at the Featherdale Wild Life Park. We drove up to the Blue Mountains where we rode the steepest train down into the valley of ferns , trees, and vines. We hiked down to see Wentworth Falls and the 3 Sisters - rock formation. We rode a cable car to see Katoomba Falls.

For everyone the highlight of the adventure was different but most of all it was time to be with family. Memories of being together last long past the glitter of decorations and the wrappings of presents. Whether it is just the two of you, like we are now, a small family of parents and children or a large family gathering the love that is shared, the feeling of belonging, the gratefulness felt in our hearts centered around the Savior last far beyond a life time. This year we celebrate the memories you’ve brought into our lives.
